Acrovinyasa takes yoga from earth to air. Uniting elements of vinyasa, acroyoga and inversion training, this practice cultivates trust and community in a powerful way. The core of Acrovinyasa is focused on synchronizing breath in movement, building strength and finding balance.

Inspired by traditional yoga asanas and L-based acrobatic flying, this progressive yoga system includes both solo and partner practice. The aerial part revolves around one partner (the base) supporting the other (the flyer) in flying through the air in a sequenced series of yoga postures. Bringing a refreshingly playful approach to an ancient tradition, Acrovinyasa feels more like a dance with gravity than physical exercise. Getting inverted with a partner is very empowering especially for people who may be fearful of supporting or being supported by others.

About your teachers:

Katy is a Sydney based Yoga Coach who studied with the creators of Acrovinyasa, Yogabeyond, and is qualified as an Acrovinyasa guide.

'I initially wanted to include Acro in my practice to connect with my kids but it has improved my practice and life beyond expectation. Acroyoga friends all over the world, a new trust in myself and others and it introduced me to the love of my life 😊 Being able to share the practice with students who never thought they would fly, get upside down or support someone else is fun fun fun and for some of our participants, lifechanging'

Dean is a Sydney based Personal Trainer, Yoga and Functional Movement Coach and Wim Hof Instructor. Known for saving lives on Bondi Beach, he has a pretty good swim and paddle game.

'Acro breaks down the barriers of a traditional yoga practice. It's so much fun and I was amazed what people could achieve when they brought the fundamentals of yoga ( breath and intention) into partner movement. We play with our kids and have seen transformation in adults who simply thought they couldn't do it to. The joy on a first time flyers face is gold'
