Restorative Yoga Workshop

‘In an age of constant movement, nothing is so urgent as sitting still.’ - Pico Iyer

Learn the art of Restorative Yoga with Narrell.

Looking for a self directed approach to relieving stress, cultivating mindfulness and healing your body, mind and soul?

Do you want to slow down, learn how to relax and ‘switch off’ for better sleep and less stress?

Restorative yoga is a practise of self care/ slowing down and doing less by the use of props to create positions of ease and comfort that facilitates deep relaxation. It is a practise for people of all ages, all levels of yoga experience and in all states of health

During the two hour workshop you will be guided and supported in opening the body with props to find a position of ease so that you can consciously let go and rest in silence. You will experience the immediate effects of creating a calm and more present mind.

You will learn how to gradually disconnect from the outer world and reconnect with the inner one by experiencing deep relaxation that will reduce your sympathetic activity in your nervous system allowing you to stay parasympathetic dominant as you move from the ‘fight, flight, freeze’ stress response to the calm natural state of ‘rest and digest’.

This practise of self care will help you to:

* Rebalance your mind and body

* Create feelings of well being

* Counteract the effects of chronic stress

* Lower blood pressure

* Elevate and stabilise your moods

as Elena Brower states “Slowing down is just another way of waking up”

Come and experience the way of beginning to slow down. The restorative revolution is here :

This workshop is limited to 8 participants to ensure each person receives the adequate guidance and support. Facilitated by Narrell Murdoch, assisted by Clare Hofsteede
