The Retreat
Join Clare Lovelace and Deepika Mistry for six days of yoga, meditation, philosophy, connection and deep rest in one of the most beautiful retreat centres in Bali.
Nestled high in the lush rainforest of Tejakula, Gaia Oasis Abasan Mountain is a place unlike any other. Surrounded by jungle, birdsong, mountains and temples, it offers the perfect setting to slow down, reconnect and remember what truly matters.
Over six days we will immerse ourselves in daily practice, nourishing food, meaningful conversations, Balinese culture and the simple joy of being fully present.
The Theme: Shiva Shakti
The inspiration for this retreat comes from the powerful energies that are woven throughout Bali itself.
In yogic philosophy, Shiva represents pure awareness, stillness, presence and consciousness.
Shakti represents life-force, creativity, vitality and the energy that animates all things.
The lush jungle, flowing rivers, ceremonies and vibrant culture of Bali are a living expression of Shakti. Through our practices together we will explore how to harness both these energies within ourselves, cultivating greater clarity, purpose, creativity, resilience and joy.
Throughout the retreat we will weave together yoga, meditation, philosophy, chanting, ritual and self-inquiry to explore the dance between awareness and action, stillness and movement, being and becoming.

The Food
The food at Gaia Oasis is truly exceptional.
Most ingredients are grown onsite or sourced locally and every meal is lovingly prepared by Gaia's talented chefs.
Expect abundant buffet meals, fresh tropical fruit, nourishing vegetarian cuisine and plenty of delicious food throughout your stay.
Many guests say the food alone is worth the trip.
Accommodation
We will be staying at the beautiful Gaia Oasis Abasan Mountain retreat centre in North Bali.
Accommodation is in traditional Balinese-style guest rooms surrounded by tropical gardens and rainforest.

We currently have more people on the waitlist than there are places available.
As a thank you for joining the waitlist, you have access to special waitlist pricing for 7 days only.
To secure the waitlist price, payment in full or a $500 deposit must be received by 1 July 2026.
After this date, prices will increase by $200 per person and the retreat will be opened to our wider community.

Travel Information
The retreat begins at 2:00pm on Thursday 6 May 2027.
Gaia Oasis can arrange transfers from Ubud or other locations in Bali directly to the retreat centre.
Transfer costs are approximately $30 AUD per person and are paid directly to Gaia Oasis drivers.

Our Recommendation
If possible, we highly recommend arriving in Bali a few days before the retreat begins.
Many guests enjoy spending a few nights in Ubud to settle into island time before heading north to the retreat.
One of Clare's favourite places to stay is:
Greenfields Hotel, Ubud
(Be mindful that there are two Greenfields properties. Clare recommends the Hotel rather than the Resort.)
It is central, comfortable, reasonably priced and has a wonderful atmosphere.
Departure
The retreat concludes on Tuesday 11 May 2027.
Our final session will finish at approximately 12:30pm, followed by lunch.
From there you may:
Transfer directly to the airport
Return to Ubud
Continue travelling elsewhere in Bali
We are happy to recommend drivers and assist with travel arrangements where possible.
Flights
Virgin Australia has recently announced direct flights from Canberra to Bali.
At the time of writing there is an EOFY sale with return fares from approximately $500 AUD, which is exceptional value.
If Bali is calling, we recommend keeping an eye on flight sales.

All balances must be paid in full by 1 April 2027.
Cancellation Policy
Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person should you be unable to attend.
Payments made beyond the initial deposit are refundable up until 1 February 2027, less a $100 administration fee.
After 1 February 2027, payments are non-refundable unless your place can be filled from the waitlist, in which case we will refund your payments less the $100 administration fee.
We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from attending.
