In this two-hour Asana Lab, we'll explore the often-overlooked art of transition. Rather than seeing each posture as the destination, we'll discover how the spaces between the poses become part of the practice itself.
When transitions become smoother, your practice becomes more fluid, efficient, graceful and enjoyable. You'll use less effort, build greater strength and stability, and develop a deeper awareness of breath and movement.
Together we'll break down and refine transitions commonly found in Flow and Soul Flow classes, including:
✨ Moving through Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations)
✨ Stepping forward and stepping back with greater control
✨ Floating and transitioning through Vinyasa safely
✨ Moving between closed-hip and open-hip standing postures
✨ Transitioning from standing to the floor (and back again)
✨ Intelligent use of hands, feet and core during movement
✨ Using breath to create effortless flow
✨ Modifications for different bodies, abilities and levels of mobility
Throughout the workshop Clare will explain why each transition works, helping you understand the biomechanics behind efficient movement rather than simply memorising sequences.
Whether you're new to yoga or have been practising for years, you'll leave with practical tools that will transform every Flow, Soul Flow and Vinyasa class you take.
Expect a workshop that is educational, playful, empowering and filled with those satisfying "aha!" moments that make your practice feel lighter and more connected.
