The Sacred Sounds of Sanskrit

An introduction to the divine power of the ancient language of yoga

During this experiential two and a half hour workshop with Deepika you will learn the basics of the Sanskrit alphabet and be introduced to the spiritual significance of certain sounds.

Deepika will guide you through the different mouth positions needed to voice the sounds and we’ll learn why pronunciation matters.

We’ll learn, chant, move and meditate during our time together.

This workshop is for you** if:

  • you love chanting and would like to know more about pronunciation

  • you’re a yoga teacher and want to know more about the language of yoga

  • you are interested in the way language shapes our world

  • You’re curious about yoga and its teachings and origins

  • You wish to incorporate sound into your yoga practice as a teacher or student

**No experience necessary- you don’t have to know anything about yoga to come along; all you need is open-hearted curiosity
